Avoid at all cost!

I bought 6 of these to install pot lights in a suspended ceiling (t-bar) as the package says: "ideal for new construction and suspended ceilings". Issues: 1) What the package doesn't say is that the bars are only long enough to place the lights exactly in the middle of the 24" span of a suspended ceiling. With every suspended ceiling I've ever installed, NEVER do the joists line up perfectly with the middle of a tile. Also, add the variability of heating ducts and it is normal to have to flexibility of placement. It was impossible to do this with these item. 2) The bars are very flimsy... to secure them, I put screws into the bars through to the main body of the support. Still this didn't give the unit enough strength/stability over the 24" they claimed was achievable so I ended up scrapping their use entirely I didn't end up using this product as they didn't work!!! I cut 1/4 plywood and laid it across the suspended ceiling - Far stronger, more secure and cheaper!!!

No, I do not recommend this product.
