Was looking at cheaper ones elsewhere but most we're flying. This was solid heavy plastic and was well made. Works well.

We use the Power Block with Surge Protector in our kitchen as a power station for an over used outlet. Allows for easy use and the swivel feature keeps plugs out of the way.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    Questions

    1 - 3 of 3 Questions

Q: how are we sure it has surge protection, nothing indicates that on the product itself

    1 Answer
    • A: There is no indicator light or other mechanism for 52-7198 in order to notify consumers that there is surge protection. Any wall tap or power bar with surge protection under 1000J should be replaced approximately every 3 years.

Q: Why isn't there a surge indicator light? Product code 052-7198-4 has no surge indicator light so how are we suppose to know if it is a surge protector 6 outlet wall tap or just a regular wall tap.

    1 Answer
    • A: The picture on the website is incorrect and the current product offers 450 Joule surge protection (website says 70 Joule) but does not have a surge indicator light. We will update the image shortly.

Q: Appliance use? Have a .7 cu ft compact fridge that I cannot put the cord into the wall outlet because the bottom outlet already has a three prong in it and it won't fit! Will this be safe for BOTH plug ins?

    1 Answer
    • A: We cannot say for sure since we do not know what the electrical draw is for each of the items you want to plug into the wall block. Generally speaking, if the combined draw for both items does not exceed 13 amps you should be fine.
