Light fit but nearly broke me

Wish I read the reviews before buying this but was in a hurry as my elderly dads light fixture had broken due to a cupboard door swinging out and smashing it so I wanted something slim like this to give him clearance for opening his cupboards. While the light is good and the fixture is slim, install was a bear. The junction box I was working in had extra wires tied in and these would block the spring clip that’s built into this. As mentioned by other reviewers the spring clip from the factory is set too far out to get it into the round bracket provided. I literally took everything apart, moved all the wires inside the box over to the corners as much as possible, and then used my hands and a bit of brute force to bend these spring clips in a bit. The spring clip mounts dead centre in the box so if there are too many wires tied inside the middle area of the box you won’t get this in. Bending the clips in was the only thing that helped get it installed…it’s a poor design. Otherwise, light is fine. The light temp switch is on the back side of this so if you want you adjust it after mounting you’ll have to unmount and go through the hassle again. Another poor design…that switch should be accessible after mounting. Would I buy again? Probably not. There are likely better options out there.

Hard to mount

The light provides good illumination for the area it’s in. Like many of the other reviews, it’s true. Very annoying to mount. I followed a recommendation to bend the clips inwards prior to putting the light into the mount. It worked, but was still hard on the patience.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Terrible spring clip hold down feature

Terrible idea with push in clip into circular base. Does not engage completely if electrical box and ceiling finish are not exact….no wiggle room at all. I can imagine there are a lot of these lights with uneven gaps at ceiling or even hanging by connecting wires.
