Do not buy at any price!

I see that Can Tire has a clearance reduced price on these lights. Do not buy them. Otherwise be prepared to be up and down a ladder many times before you get a light that might work properly. Because of this poor performance Can Tire should pay their customers to take these lights, not the other way around. See my previous reviews on these lights. After my last previous review Globe Electric sent me a replacement light which also did not work properly. If the manufacturer can not provide a working light then one has little chance of getting a working light. I finally got tired of getting my ladder out again and again so just gave up on these lights. I suspect Can Tire had so many returns on these bad lights that they discontinued them. Do not buy at any price.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Light quit working

Installed this light a few months ago. Worked fine for two weeks, then wouldn't shut off. Adjusted sensitivity and time dials. No solution. Had to shut it off by the switch. Worked sporadically, then it stopped working altogether. I like the compact size and the brightness is fine. But I will replace with another brand.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Light would only come on if you stood 6 feet away despite adjusting sensitivity to max. Taking it back

Terrible product

I bought this to replace aging halogen security lamps. The motion sensor can't sense more than 5-6 feet, and sometimes I have to wave my arms to get that to work. I am returning them tomorrow

Very poor quality

This is a follow-up to my previous review after owning three of these lights for 8 months. One light (a brown one) worked perfectly immediately and continues to work ok. The second light (a white one) had to be replaced twice before I finally got one that has now worked ok for about 6 months. The third light (a white one) continues to work erratically despite being replace three times...yes, three times. It does not respond to motion reliably. It also will turn on continuously by itself and not turn off automatically. I am taking it back for exchange today for the fourth time. Despite the unreliable performance of these lights once I have properly working one’s I do like their light output. You just have to have extreme patience to get working ones.

Q: how high should the light be from the ground ?

  • A: Thank you for your question. There is no required height. It has a 12m detection range for motion.

Q: Can this light be set to always go on at dusk and off at sunrise, or does this need to be manually set each day?

  • A: Here are the instructions provided with the light: TIME/TEST The TIME/TEST knob is used to switch between TIME and TEST modes for testing the coverage area. The TIME/TEST knob also sets the ON time that the light will stay on after motion is detected in TIME mode. A photocell is built into the unit to automatically shut off the light during daylight hours. In TEST mode the photocell is turned off so the light can come on during daylight hours for testing the coverage area. To enter TEST mode, turn the knob fully counterclockwise so the pointer is aimed at the word “TEST”. To leave TEST mode, turn the knob clockwise away from TEST position. If the light has been triggered during mode selection the light will enter the new mode that was selected after the light has timed out. SENSITIVITY The SENSITIVITY knob adjusts the fixture’s sensitivity to motion. Turn the knob clockwise to increase sensitivity and counterclockwise to reduce the sensitivity. The most common setting is fully cockwise to maximum sensitivity. RED LED INDICATOR LIGHT A red LED indicator light located behind the motion detector lens turns on when motion is detected. MANUAL OVERRIDE To disable the motion sensor and keep the light continuously on for the night, flip the wall switch off for 3 seconds and then back on. To reset to SECURITY mode, flip the switch again off for 3 seconds and back on. If you leave the light on all night it will automatically turn off at dawn and reset to SECURITY mode.

Q: How many minutes does the light stay on for when the sensor is triggered? I cannot find any place that shows whether it is 1, 3 5 or 10 minutes. The dial does not show the minutes for maximum and minimum. Any idea?

  • A: You can switch the TEST/TIME knob to adjust timing. When the knob is pointing to Min., the light will turn ON for around 3 seconds and max. is 10 mins. Also, you can refer the attached file for detail. Thank you!

Q: What type of lights are the LED bulbs & are they replaceable

  • A: There are no bulbs on this fixture; the LEDs are integrated into the fixture. They are not replaceable. The diodes are rated to last 35000 hours. They emit a bright white light with a higher color temperature.
