Not suited for extreme cold climates

I bought this in the early summer. Niw it is the depths of winter in Saskatchewan with temperatures in the -20 to -30 C range, not counting wind chill, and this unit leaks air like crazy. Yes i closed the vents on it. And i put styrafoam inside to block air. Now ive put heavy plastic around the whole thing and the air surrounding the unit isso cold i am fortunste the heating pipes below the unit have not frozen!! I would like to just take this out and do without cuz it didnt do that geat a job in cooling the place in the summer anyway!! Very disappointed.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Easy to install. It’s working good and has lots of power. Installed it just prior to the recent heatwave and it never skipped a beat. Cools our 1000 sq ft. house very well.

Q: We used this the previous 2 years but it was extremely loud. So loud that the neighbors complained! This year, we turn it on and it runs but the fan doesn't kick in. I try it without the air conditioning and the fan still doesn't work.

A: All symptoms mentioned above, I do not experience any of these. All is working flawlessly . No hardware failure or malfunction. Refer to your warranty if still applicable .

Q: What is the minimum window opening required to fit this unit as well as the side panels at their fully collapsed position? The width of the unit itself is 54.6 cm but I’m not sure it would fit in my window with a 61 cm opening.
