Faulty cord

Purchased one week ago, installed it 3 days ago, when I went to use it, I couldn’t get power. After playing with the cord I could only get power intermittently. There must be a break somewhere internally. A bit of an inconvenience & good thing power at that moment wasn’t of urgency, I will be exchanging for a different one in hopes this was a one off faulty cord.
