My mother bought this for me last week. First thing, I noticed, it has a weird plastic smell when you use it. Second, it has a lot of heat coming off of it. There is kind of loud.

Had an older T-Fal model. Got the Ninja as I know they are a quality brand. It works great but the sides of the fry basket aren’t perforated so air flow is somewhat limited. My old one turned off when you pulled the basket out, this one doesn’t. I’m learning how to adjust to this fryer but I don’t really like it. It does require more stirring of the fries or veggies. It heats up fast and is easy to clean up. I don’t understand why someone would need to use a liner. I have a Ninja grill that is awesome for fish, hamburgers or steak. I need to try burgers in this one. I bet it’ll be great for that.
