Amazing option for old wood burning fireplace

This electric insert is amazing. The logs look really good and the flame projection is really neat. This is not your typical cheesy electric fireplace and looks quite realistic.

Yesterday I went and bought this item which upon setup the fan was broken and it was extremely noisy, luckily there was one left in the other Canadian tire. After exchanging and bringing that one home we opened it up and there were broken logs and it was rapidly resetting. Love the look of the fireplace but would not buy again (for a 3rd time).
No, I do not recommend this product.

A: The flames/ember light and the heater have separate controls. There are 5 settings for the flames/ember lighting and 4 heat settings.

A: Due to many environmental factors, we cannot supply the amount of space that the fireplace will heat. Factors such as wall insulation, window age/condition, ceiling height, room size etc. play a large role in heating a space. A fireplace will produce heat, but the room will only stay heated if the above factors are ideal for containing heat. This fireplace in particular provides heat, however is meant to be a supplemental heat and is classified as a decorative fireplace. The fireplace does provide 1500 watts of heating capability.
