Lid handle Extremely Hot!

Like the BBQ, but have one concern the handle gets extremely hot, where we have to open it with an oven mitt. The stainless Steele discoloured with the heat, when the lid is open and the plastic side is extremely hot !!

Your feedback is valuable and will assist us in enhancing our products. I'm sorry you are running into this issue; the wind may be pushing the heat forward, causing the handle to get hot, we suggest a BBQ shelter to help protect the back of the grill or moving it to a new location. Also cleaning out your drip pan, and sear plates can help eliminate excessive heat. Make sure that the pan is properly installed and pushed back.
