Love them. I bought a glass top for my fish aquarium and put these lights on top. Nice and bright and cheaper to buy and run that a regular aquarium light

Q: Will these work on a 'high' and 'low' setting or just 'on' and 'off'? If no variable setting can you suggest a LED strip light that has a dual brightness?

A: The Nadair LED Strip Light, 12-in, 3-pkProduct Nadair LED Strip Light, 12-in, 3-pk (0529417P) does not have any high/low switches or dimmable feature. The item at Canadian Tire that have high-low settings and are dimmable (wall-dimmer) are: 1. Nadair 7-Watt LED Under-Cabinet Light, 14-in (052-9408-4) 2. Nadair 11W LED Under-Cabinet Light, 22-in (052-9410-6) Otherwise the customer can opt for an LED Strip which dims (with included remote) and will provide the high-low feature requested, item 052-9414-8.

Q: What colour light do these strips produce?

A: It produces 16 colorful lights in the Green, Blue and Red spectrums. The white light color is 4000K.

Q: Do these light strips throw a lot of heat when they are on for a couple of hours?

A: No they don’t throw a lot of heat compared to traditional lights because they are LED’s.

Q: Can I hard wire these strips directly to 120V line with wall switch or do they require a transformer?

A: They can’t be hardwired directly. To do so, it requires a hardwire box. This fixture has no transformer, they are direct line voltage (works directly on 120V)
