Useless, it's too short!

I bought these a day ago and I put them to use on site today, but I was astounded that the pilot bit simply didn't extent past the hole saw itself. It's impossible to use in any meaningful way and I'll be returning it as soon as possible. I don't know if there are longer bits I could buy, but this shouldn't be an issue out of box.

Bought to add two holes to a stainless sink. Worked surprisingly well with cutting fluid. I should have bought this years ago. I have killed other hole saws trying to cut through steel.
