It's a maze with no exit..

It worked eventually, after we got rid of the initial food source. They were eating our chicken feed. We caught 9 in one day.

Very effective

This trap is very effective. I have caught a dozen rats at once on numerous occations. I am not sure why Canadian Tire would discontinue this item, as they do not offer any other traps that can catch multiple rats at once.

A: that part I would not know - only Canadian Tire rules apply. However, we've had one for a while now, and were able to catch/release a number of critters. Once there were five in it at once!! Yeah, that's not always to be applauded, but just to let you know that it will allow multiple ones to enter but not exit.

A: No, this product will not be able to trap mice. They can escape through the bars. For a option for trapping multiple mice, please try the Catchmaster Multiple Catch Metal Mouse Trap (SKU#: 059-3615).

A: This product is large enough to also catch squirrels, but is not specifically designed for them.

A: This product will work on all rodents around rat/chipmunk size. Please note that the product will not work for smaller rodents such as mice or moles.

Q: Does this trap have to be reset after each rodent enters or will it capture multiple rodents without having to reset it.

A: This Multi Rat Trap is a passive trap, and does not need to be “set” and “triggered”. It has a teeter-totter based trap door that allows entry, but no exit. As long as there is bait, it can continue to attract and catch rodents. We do suggest checking the trap periodically to ensure the animals are humanely dealt with.

A: This trap is not designed for Mice. They will easily squeeze out of the trap. Instead use CTC# 059-3615, Multi Catch Mouse Trap.
