Does NOT grate cheese well

The first 2/3 of cheese grate not too badly, although it grates too large. As for the last 1/3, without fail it will drop between the top and the grater, making the machine stop. Other reviews have mentioned it is not supported with parts. Try another brand - this one is awful.

Powerful motor, cheap plastic parts

I enjoyed using the food processor for over a year, mainly making nut butter. Then I noticed that the plastic mixing container began to crack. Sadly the company who distributes the food processor in Canada is dropping the product. They referred me to another company for parts, who do not carry parts for my model (purchased at Canadian Tire). Summary: powerful motor but cheap plastic parts.

Moulinex 6-cup food processor-disappointing

While this food processor works fairly well, you need to know that there are no replacement parts available, so if you lose a part, or a part breaks, too bad. You can take it back with receipt to Canadian Tire.
The most disappointing aspect is that the pieces are made of brittle plastic that cracks very easily. My husband pointed this out to me when I bought it. Now I get to tell him he was right!

This is not your mom's Moulinex

This product is very cheaply made and not comparable to the ones made years ago. It does not shred cheese without making a huge mess and getting stuck and seizing up the machine. I have tried freezing the cheese, using bigger pieces, smaller pieces. The blade wobbles and gets stuck frequently on most items. I called the Moulinex customer service line and they told me that the quality is not the same as years ago since the Moulinex name was bought by another company and it does not make the same quality products.

so disappointed

I have had this food processor for 1 1/2 years and have returned it 3 times - so I'm on my 4th one. I do use it quite a bit but it's main function for me is shredding cheese, at least once a week. I have tried everything from making sure the cheese is cold, freezing the cheese for 10 or 15 minutes, using large pieces, using small pieces, nothing seems to make much of a difference. It is always my shredding blade that breaks (the centre white plastic ring splits) Moulineux is of no help either, I've called them several times either to ask for advice or to try and purchase a replacement part. Their answer is always the same, we don't sell parts, take it back to Canadian Tire and exchange for a new one. I have even asked Canadian Tire to let me purchase a much more expensive processor but no, I can only exchange it. So I guess this is a good enough food processor just don't use it shred cheese.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Q: Where can I get a replacement bowl and lid for this? The bowl and lid for this broke after falling from a shelf and I am hoping to replace them without replacing the entire unit. I tried phoning the Moulinex number, but it did not accept the product code above when I tried to inquire.

A: This unit carries a 3 year exchange warranty only against defects in workmanship and materials when accompanied by proof of purchase. There are no replacement parts.
