Had purchased a dorman aluminum housing t-stat for the 3.6 chrysler V6, was opening too soon purchased the motorad stat and kept the dorman housing. Opens later but the temp gauge still is a bit of left of centre (cold) much better than the dorman which was keeping the engine way too cold. Make sure to test it off the car in a pot of boiling water to make sure it opens. So far so good hopefully this one lasts a bit longer as the last one I had failed due to the rubber sealing lip breaking off.

Yes, I recommend this product.
