The MotoMaster Trailer & Towing Ball Mount Kit provides all the essentials for connecting your light utility trailer to most vehicles equipped with a Class II or III hitch receiver. Constructed from high-quality steel and finished with a black powder coating, it resists rust and corrosion for long-lasting durability. This kit features a gross towing weight capacity of 7,500 lbs (3,401 kg) to handle your towing needs effectively.
Kit includes a 2" (5 cm) tow ball size in a chrome finish, a 1" (2.5 cm) shank diameter and 2" (5 cm) shank length
Ball mount delivers 2-1/4" (5.7 cm) Drop or 1" (2.5 cm) Rise and has a length of 8-1/4" (20.9 cm)
Towing ball mount and ball are preassembled
Fits 2x2" hitch receiver openings

Q: What size is the NUT / BOX WRENCH required to remove and reverse the ball (for rise and drop applications)?

Q: What is the length of the shaft? I see that this is a 2"x2" receiver but what is the length of the shaft? I have a hidden hitch that requires at least a 7" shaft to clear the bumper area.
11 years agoA: This ball mount has an 8-1/4” length (measured from the ball mount hole to the hitch receiver pin hole, on centre). The “free” receiver tube length is 3-1/2” in length from the start of the drop/rise to the hitch receiver pin hole, on centre). The overall “free” receiver tube length is 6-1/4” (measured from the ball mount hole to the end of the tube).

Q: Trailer Hitch/Draw Bar Combo Product #40-6580-6 ... is it available in multiple classes RE:Trailer Hitch/Draw Bar Combo Product #40-6580-6 I have a 2012 ford escape that only accepts a class 2 bar. Is your combo available for different classes ?
12 years agoA: This towing kit combo is only available in a 2” receiver opening configuration with a 6000-lb capacity. Unfortunately, we do not carry any variations. For your application, a typical Class II hitch has a Gross Towing Weight capacity of 3500-lbs with a 1-1/4” receiver opening (please confirm with the manufacturer of your hitch). Thus, you would require a 1-1/4” to 2” adapter (Product #040-6579) and your “weakest link” in the system is your hitch, at 3500-lb Gross Towing Weight capacity.
