Broken at 2nd use

I purchased this unit not even a month ago. The second time I used it, it simply did not display the tire pressure (it stayed at 0 PSI). I tried it several times on various tires (I validated that this type of tire was supported) and it simply did not work. I lost the receipt, so it is very frustrating.

Bad Manufacturing

Couldn't turn it on. Read the suggestions and manual that says to slide the level down (this did nothing). Opened it up to find that a wire was preventing the slide from touching the button that would turn it on. You need to push up (towards the nozzle) with the "Tact switch" to engage a small momentary ("click") switch that is inside the unit, this also allows you to also change between BAR, PSI and kPa. The manual mentioned nothing about this. Unit works fine now, but without this bit of info, most people would be lost.

I purchased this unit last month and used it twice. I went to use it today and it shows every tire at 8 PSI even thought they are far from flat. Will see if I can return it without the receipt as I cant find it, go figure.

Q: Wont turn on How do you turn this unit on? It has no buttons and when you connect it to the tire stem it doesnt turn on either.

A: To switch on, pull the slide downwards and then release. The unit displays “1.8.8.8” & all icons . Waiting for screen to show 0.0 PSI, 0.00 BAR, 000 KPA Unit is now self-calibrated and ready to use. To check PRESSURES Check screen display is PSI, BAR, KPA To change PSI, BAR, KPA pull slide down for 1~2 seconds and release. Put air nozzle onto tyre valve, wait 3 seconds then remove to check value. To check TREAD DEPTH. Push slide upwards until probe is extended. Put the probe into the tread and then push the unit downwards until it resets on the tire, then the tread depth reading is displayed. 1. Depth ≦ 2/32” (1.6mm) , LCD show ”Bald” and all LCD is flashing. 2. 3/32”(1.7mm) < Depth ≦ ~ 5/32” (1.7mm~4.0mm) , LCD show ”Replace” 3. Depth≧6/32” (4.1mm) , LCD show ”Good”.
