This was easy to put together and after putting it together it is solid. I was able to load 4 tires for a 2019 RAM without issue. with some care lifted it vertically after the 4 tires with rims were loaded on.

I was looking for tire rack that supports 20” tires as I have a BMW X3 and the current tire rack was too small. I looked at one of these and my 20” tires fit with space left at the top. The tires stack very well considering they are wrapped in plastic bags. It’s also easy to transport with the dolly system. The dolly can also lay flat if you choose so you don’t have to lift the tires up every time. This should be able to hold any 19” tires and up.

This is a pretty good rig. Well constructed and easily assembled. With four tires and 19" rims on the dolly it is difficult to move so I recommend two at a time to save your back then stand it up with all four.

Q: Is there supposed to be ‘give’ when the dolly is in vertical position and you start to lean it back to roll it? The arms wiggle/flex back and forth, but I’m think that is on purpose? Just want to make sure it’s put together correctly. Thanks.

A: My unit will flex about 2” away from the top tire before it starts to tilt. Anymore and I would say there is an issue.

A: Depends how much the overall weight is, how much you can lift, and how many stairs. I have 4 truck tires PLUS rims and that thing is SUPER HEAVY - even just to simply roll around... I wouldn't ever think of trying to take them up even two steps.

Q: Will storing mounted tires stacked on top of each other, with the bottom tire resting on a rounded U-shaped bar (since bottom is hollow and there will be 6 contact points on the tiny rounded steel rod) cause flat spots or stress the side wall?

A: Yes, without rims easy-peasy. With rims, those are potentially heavy wheels. It will hold them, but you may find that it is more manageable to move the tires in more than 1 trip and then stack them all for storage.
