Can not power electronics as advertised

Advertises specifically being able to power small electronics, fridges, TV’s etc. This is false advertising, bought it to power small items when our power when out and as soon as I plugged in my fridge or tv or any electronics, the items would start to buzz. This is a tell tale sign that it is not producing clean power. When I further investigated what kind of power it is creating, it is creating dirty power not clean. I would not power any electronics item with this as you will risk destroying it.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We apologize for any confusion. We include on both the front and rear of the box that this power inverter produces a Modified Sine Wave. And the top of the box provides guidance on what appliances/devices/equipment typically require a pure sine wave and which can run adequately on a modified sine wave. However, also as stated on the box, it's always best to check with the manufacturer of the appliance you wish to run to seek their guidance on whether or not their product is compatible with a modified sine wave. If you do require a Pure Sine Wave output, please consider one the MotoMaster Eliminator power inverters.

I had this inverter rigged up in the cab of my truck to charge power tool batteries and a starlink. It worked just fine for a while but then it randomly shorted out inside, smoked a bunch and quit. Will be returning for a refund

This inverter is part of my sump pump battery backup system. Works well and I like the fact that it displays the voltage of my battery. Happy with my purchase.

Q: use of inverter ignition control. the manual is very vague and incomplete. I purchased this unit for this ability. It appears there is a straight copy of documentation of a Xantrex inverter, however that unit comes with a switch and access to settings

  • A: The unit has a switch that is built in but can be removed to mount elsewhere. Mine has worked great. I wired it directly to the battery for power

Q: THE INVERTER FLASHES LUP AND BEEPS

1 Answer
  • A: An "LUP" fault indicates low input voltage. There can be a number of potential causes of low voltage, normally rooted in inadequate battery power or voltage drop between the battery(s) and inverter. Consider: 1. Battery(s) is drained and needs recharging. 2. Battery(s) has insufficient capacity to power the AC load. Remember, a typical deep cycle battery can provide about 100A continuous so If you're running loads in excess of 1000W you may need to add a second battery. 3. Battery(s) may be defective and need replacing. 4. Battery cables may be undersized. 5. Check all cable connections to ensure they are clean and tight.

Q: 3' cables not long enough, Can I get longer cables for this

1 Answer
  • A: Please refer to page 8 of the instruction manual for cabling length and gauge recommendations. Longer cables will require you to upsize the gauge (which gets considerably more expensive) which is why best practice is install the inverter as close practically possible to the battery(s).

Q: Can the MotoMaster Power Inverter, 1500W be used with lithium battery

1 Answer
  • A: The inverter is designed to work with any DC power source that operates within the range of 11.0 to 15.5 volts (+/- 0.5V). If your lithium battery operates within this range (most do), then they will work with this inverter.
