Works great! Great value!

I purchased these jacks to move a classic car short notice. At a considerable less amount of money compared to other brands, I wasn't anticipating too good of quality? I was over thrilled at the product when it arrived and its ability to move the vehicle is fantastic. These dollies are a huge time saver when wanting to move vehicles in and out of a storage position. I hope that Canadian Tire continues to keep these in their product line up. A great product for a great price!!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great quality

Let me start by saying, these are not hydraulic, which has been mentioned on previous reviews. I was very impressed with the castors. They are large, and made of poly, not cheap plastic, which would eventually crack, no doubt. They are heavy, meaning robust, which is what you need. I moved two cars by myself, which should indicate, the ability of these dolly's, to do the job. One pointer: Make sure you position the dolly, about two inches away from the outside of the wheel. I found as I stepped on the pedal, the dolly would migrate close to the tire and wheel, which could create a wear issue. Really happy I purchased these, and are really worth the extra money.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great for changing tires

Had them for a year now. I use them to change my winter/ summer tires. I find the 17 inch wheels on my suv heavy so I simply put the wheels on the lifts and wheel them in place...NO LIFTING...works great !

Questions

Q: Is there a wheel lock so the car doesnt move? Are there wheel locks? I have a grade in my garage as most of the world does, so is this just for warehouses or will it work for a regular garage on an incline?

  • A: Agreed. 2 Wheel locks on each jack. Wouldn't rely on them to hold the weight of the car on a surface that isn't perfectly flat.

Q: Just wondering with the positioning jacks how close the 9 inch tire width is. My tires are approx 10 inches wide so I don’t know if there is a bit of tolerance or is 9 inch absolute width it will take Thx

1 Answer
  • A: This Positioning Dolly Pair has a 9-inch usable width that corresponds to the size of the rollers. If you have tires that measure 10” or greater, it is possible they will rub against the static frame of the dolly while in use and be result in a rather frustrating experience. Fortunately, we recognize many vehicles are equipped with larger tires and have heard our customers: in February 2020, we will be launching a new larger 12-inch size for the positioning dolly pair. Regrettably, this does not help you now but we wanted to be sure you were aware these are coming.

Q: can I use two jacks on front, and move the vehicle, then the back or do I need a jack on each tire?

1 Answer
  • A: You can use two by placing them under the front and released the parking (emergency ) break, if you were to move the rear and leave the front tires on the ground and you have a front wheel drive car you would have to place the car in neutral to free wheel the front otherwise you will drag your tires and cause undue stress onto your cars drive train and steering. 4 jacks it high recommended for maximum mobility and monurvorbility.

1 Answer
