Great replacement

Great Quality. Used for replacing four (4) RV house batteries. The external size was slightly larger than my old Interstate GC2's so one battery connector wire was just a little too short to connect the threaded posts. Made a new wire, no problem, but I could have planned ahead and had the supplies on hand had I paid more attention to the very slight size difference between old and new.

Good investment

Bought 2 to run in series for our travel trailer. We skeptical at first but was very happy to see them perform. Ran light and furnace 24/7 while having attached a 100 watt solar panel and they barely got drained. Happy I switched to these

Great batteries for my travel trailer !

This is the second set of these batteries that I have purchased. One for a previous RV and then this set for my current one. I was extremely happy with the previous set hence why I bought the new ones and so far so good. Good amount of amp hours as well and especially at this price point versus other suppliers/manufacturers.

I have never in my life experienced such a terrible experience with the girl that checked me out. I even had to speak to the manager on duty to report it.

Q: I bought 2 on Oct 7/25. When I got them they were both totally dead to the point my NOCO charger wouldn’t recognize them. Upon further inspection the water levels were low to the point that the plates were all exposed. They don’t seem to hold a charge.

  • A: Thank your for reaching out. This would be incredibly unusual and are not able to offer any type of explanation without more information. We recommend you take the batteries back to the store of purchase so they can assess them.

Q: do these batteries have a vent port that can be vented outside?

  • A: No, I don’t think so. Mine are in a plastic box with a tight fitting lid that has a flex pipe venting outside.

Q: The Battery Warranty states failure to charge as covered under warranty. CT tester could only charge the battery to 6.21V (=80% of a full charge) but the test result was good and warranty denied. What voltage produces a failure and warranty replacement?

2 Answers
  • A: If the CTC store tester deems the battery good, I would rely on that store's unit. They usually have a commercial grade unit with a robust IC circuit to perform several tests. If your personal charging unit or testing unit declares otherwise, you may need to replace these. I have 4 of these batteries in a 2x2 configuration, 2 serial in parallel to each other. There's a 6V 2amp x4 output charger maintaining these batteries all the time. The fully charged voltage based on the MM 3000W inverter display is about 14.0V. this means each battery, fully charged should be 7.0 volts. Bare in mind if left to decay (without the maintaning charger) they will self decay to about 13.7V in a relatively short period, which is 6.85V. After a few weeks off the charger, with zero load, I witness them decay to about 13.2V or 6.6v each. 6.21V is low

Q: Where do I find the specific warranty for these? It says ask your local store but the sidewalls are bulging 11mo in and the store wouldn’t say whether or not that falls under warranty. They’ve been in a garage with a heated floor and on trickle charge.

  • A: I think this would fall under the warranty, however, if the shop at your Cdn Tire doesn't know, speak to the Manager of the store, not just the service Manager.
