Product Details

The MotoMaster Heat Shrinkable Butt Connectors will ensure your electrical connections are sealed, secured, and protected against the elements. The heat-shrinkable material encases wire ends in a water-tight, abrasion-resistant shield that safeguards against moisture, contaminants, and wire pull-out. Once heated, this durable sleeve moulds itself to wires of various gauges to form a tight seal that insulates and reinforces connections. Your wires will be impervious to environmental factors like salt and chemicals, as well as physical stresses. For industrial applications where electrical connections face challenging conditions, these butt connectors provide an unparalleled level of protection to prevent failure.

Heat Shrinkable Rubber Wire Butt Connectors are essential products every electrician/DIYer must have

Heat shrinkable multiple wire butt connectors - the rubber tubes come in various diameters and lengths. Before soldering two pieces of unsheathed copper wire together, a heat shrinkable rubber tube, which comes in various lengths (2" to 6") and various diameters (1/4" to 1/2") is slipped over one of the wires to be spliced. One the wires have been united and a strong, solder connection has been made, the heat shrinkable tube is placed over the soldered joint and covering the plastic which covers each individual wire and then heat shrunk to make a very tight seal over the solder joint. If one applies Silicon Dielectric Grease over the solder copper wire joint and up to the point where each wire is strip and before the Heat Shrinkable Wire Butt cover is slipped over the soldered joint and the wire ends, the covered area will become protected from any water, even if the joint is submerged underwater. Sets of various lengths and diameters of these Heat Shrinkable Wire Butt Rubber Connectors should be a part of all electricians' and DIYers' tool kits.

Doesn't work as advertised. Heat shrink was bad in a couple sets not just one.

Heat shrink was HORRIBLE. Considering you can get a 50 pack for a comparable price without the heat shrink I'd just rock those with electrical tape or buy actual heat shrink. I was using these to wire some solar panels up in my RV and was very unimpressed with how horrible the heat shrink was. I use a lot of heat shrink too. I ended up having to buy more heat shrink to put over them. What was the point of buying heat shrink cable connectors?
