Definitely a good purchase if you're in need of a reliable, well built car jack.
The only thing about it is that it is not portable due to its size and weight. Due to its awkward weight and shape, it is very difficult to lift unless you have assistance.

This floor jack with it's extended height was the only jack that easily lifts a Range Rover SUV. Although heavy duty it still managed to be manuverable and relatively light.

I upgraded from a small 2.5 ton trolley jack to this about a year ago. There is no comparison. This is stable, secure, and provides plenty of height. It is low enough to clear a mid-size car and passenger van. Not a hint of twisting or distortion under load. Lowers smoothly under load.

Bought this jack to be able to lift my new F150 after getting rid of a Jetta, I knew the 2.5-ton jack I already had wouldn't give me the necessary height. I may have been able to get away with the available 3-ton jacks (which probably have better value), because I'm not close to the maximum lift height when lifting the truck, but you get what you pay for with this jack. It's massive, but the profile is low enough that you could also get under most cars. It's not something you are going to lift around but it wheels in and out of the garage with ease.
Note you may need to adjust the screw above where the handle connects in order for the handle to fully set into the base.

Q: Are parts available for this jack? How many years into the future are parts typically available.? My goal is to find a 3.5 ton jack that is not going to have to be disposed of the first time it needs repair.
