Fuel stabalizer

I have purchased this product before and have always had great results with it.

Hopefully it works!

Using this product is like buying a pig in a poke. All I can say is that I use it regularly but I do not know exactly how good a job it does. If the proof of the pudding is in the eating, then yes, I have not had problems when I have used it for long term storage except for one fuel tank that has stored gas for several years.

Great for longer term fuel storage. I put some in my gas can to keep the gas fresh and from going stale for my lawn mower, snow blower and grass trimmer.

Q: why does this stuff change color i forgot a bottle of this stuff in the sun for about week and it turned a clear with a yellow tinge. Is this stuff still ok to use?

  • A: Stabilizer usually lasts from 1.5 years to 2.5 years depending on the manufacturer. Check the bottle or their website to see if yours has expired. If so, don't use it, buy a new bottle.

Q: Can this be used in a diesel ? it doesn't mention it working on diesel anywhere on the bottle.

  • A: No it cannot be used with diesel fuel. You have to buy stabilizer that's chemically engineered precisely for the type of fuel that is being stabilized. Diesel fuel has a cetane rating rather than an octane rating like gasoline and thus requires a different additive to increase its lifespan and performance along with removing trace amounts of water. The best product on the market for doing all of that is "Hot Shot's Secret Diesel Extreme". I'm not sure if Canadian Tire carries it. Since I don't know where you're located you should Google it to get some relevant answers.

Q: How many ml or oz per litre of gas motomaster fuel stabilizer? Not on bottle!

2 Answers
  • A: CanadianTireAnswers is not a reliable source of info here (this is not the only wrong answer they gave). It looks like 100 ml of product will treat 30 l of fuel, so you will need 3.3 ml of product to treat one l of fuel.
