Service Reps said 20min charge need a couple hours. Also instructions say wait 30min after putting in fluid. By the time the temperature of the battery was cool to touch and not making noise it was about 12hr of sitting. Wait till there is no noise and battery temp is room temperature then put on to charge

Q: In describstion it reads Agm seal battery. But then it reads must be filled and charge prior to use? Is it a fiberglass sealed battery or a liquid cell acid filled battery?

    3 Answers
    • A: If the battery comes with a fill kit then it needs to be filled , then charged , putting in the category of a lead/acid battery.

Q: Can it be charged using 011-1979-0? I'm afraid 6A would be too much considering it's only a 12Ah battery. What's the max charging current?

    2 Answers
    • A: The charger has a microprocessor that determines charge rate. 6A would be the maximum allowable charge. It will provide the correct charge rate for any given battery.  12 Ah is the amount of energy that can be drawn from a battery, in this case, 12 amps fir an hour before it is depleted.

Q: When filling it new do I just put the full plastic acid container over spouts and push down

    1 Answer
    • A: Yes. When you push down, the seals/covers on each of the bottle's spouts will be pierced and the acid will begin to flow out of the bottle and into the battery. The volume of acid in the bottle is exact for the battery so be sure to let all of the acid drain into the battery. You may have to gently tap on the bottle to clear air pockets. Also, be sure to let the battery rest for about an hour after filling to allow the acid time to absorb into the glass mat separators before charging.
