Short Lifespan

Despite very light use and stored indoors during winter, the battery does not last very long. Typically have to replace the battery after 3 seasons, 4 seasons if lucky.

Q: Does anyone think 6 of these batteries in series will work on my golf cart?

A: Yes. I am not too familiar with golf carts, but older ones I believe were 36V. Connecting these “in series” would give you 36V (6 x 6V). Lots of diagrams on line. Connect ground last.

Q: I have this battery for a 62 VW. Should I add water to the cells if it looks dry. The sticker on the battery says it is k-14 dry charge.

A: I would say no. It is a utility battery for old Model T's and small tractors of older vintage. Not deep cycle. Just a standard battery. Just 6 volts instead of 12. Small to fit in the battery case of a model T or other smaller battery compartments on small farm or vineyard machines.

A: No it will not. This is a universal battery for 6-volt vehicles. Of course, your vehicle has a 12-volt system. The Group Size 151R is the required battery.

A: No, this is a "starting" battery, designed for very powerful but very short bursts of energy for starting a combustion engine). For a golf cart, you require a "deep cycle" battery, designed to deliver sustained power over minutes or hours and endure repeated cycles of discharge and charge. Assuming your golf cart uses 6-volt batteries, the product you should consider is 010-2000. This is a flooded 6V deep cycle battery. You may also consider 010-2001 which is an AGM version of the same thing.
