      Self destructed.

I’ve had it for about two years. It blew a fuse once but worked ok. Today the ball bearing case connecting the pump motor to the piston came apart. And now it’s useless.

      Did not last long

Worked well when it was new. About 2 yrs old now and the hose leaks from the inside of the unit. Do not recommend if you are using for car tires. Probably good for sporting goods, toys.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Good pump, accurate readout but poor fuse connector concept

I've had this unit for well over 3 years. Its been a very good pump and provides accurate readouts for pressures. When it works, it works very well! My two disappointments have been: 1) loose fitting for the extra connectors in the housing of the body; 2) and the fuse assembly cap is poorly designed and broke within 3 months of use. I couldn't get a replacement because I was told it was normal usage. I wish the connector and the assemnly it connects to was made of a sturdier plastic or even fibreglass to ensure it stay intact and works for a long time. I'm still using it because its works well, i just have to finagle the connected into the DC plug. Sometimes I need nose pliers to take the fuse and what remains of the plastic cap.

      Yes, I recommend this product.

      Don't Waste Your Money

Programmable readout didn't even last 10 months . Will still pump air if the On switch doesn't feel temperamental that day . Whole point of buying this was the preset capability. With a faulty switch and a readout screen that shows nothing but zeros this is shining example of poor quality manufacturing . Make the sale and run with the money .

No, I do not recommend this product.

      Questions

      1 - 10 of 10 Questions

Q: Should the car engine be running when 009-5026-2 MotorMaster 12V 4-Min compressor is inflating the tires?

      2 Answers
      • A: Not necessary if you are just checking and topping up tire pressures. But if you are pumping up a tire from flat, running the engine would ease the load on the battery.

Q: I have an older motomaster air compressor. Have had it 10 years (+/-) first time I’ve tried to use First time I tried to use it. Connection to tire air valve is too small.  Is there an adaptor to fix this?

      1 Answer
      • A: Regrettably, we are unfamiliar with this issue nor are we familiar with an adaptor to “upsize” the valve chuck. All of our Inflator valve chucks include Schrader valves, compatible with a standard Schrader valve stems.

Q: I read a lot of comments about these air compressors blowing fuses in the car. Is there any way to avoid this? What causes it?

      1 Answer
      • A: There may be various causes (such as a blocked car socket, small wire in the car socket etc.) causing a short circuit that would blow the fuse, or there may be an issue with the product itself. Each case is independent and a proper diagnosis would require testing the product.

Q: How long would you say does it take to put air in a 225/60R16 when it is completely flat.

      1 Answer
      • A: The inflation time of this inflator was measured with a standard tire P195/65R15 and it takes 4 minutes to inflate from zero to 35PSI. The tire size you provided has 30% more volume than the standard tire. As a result, it should take about 6-8 minutes to inflate 225/60R16 tire from flat to a pressure between 32-35PSI.
