Heavy-duty compound provides a water resistant coating to leather to protect against rain, snow, dirt and salt. Conditions, softens and preserves footwear ex-posed to rugged outdoor wear. Thicker application of this paste in and around seams will “stay put” for increased water repellency. Ideal for oiled leathers and all types of work, hiking, hunting boots and sporting equipment. Not for use on napped leathers. Darkens lighter colours. Includes sponge applicator.

I don't use this stuff as much as I did when we were farming, but, great for waterproofing leather gloves and boots. It does darken the colour, but everything lasts much longer against salt and sand etc. I did not know where to find it when I ran out. Found that and Mink oil here!

Does what it says on the label, protecting and water repelling my new construction boots. The only knock would be the very fragile sponge applicator, but anything similar to apply this works the same.

The sponge applicator is garbage. Just used it once and now can't use it anymore. Haven't tested if it will keep the shoe dry when walking in snow.
