Heavy-duty compound provides a water resistant coating to leather to protect against rain, snow, dirt and salt. Conditions, softens and preserves footwear ex-posed to rugged outdoor wear. Thicker application of this paste in and around seams will “stay put” for increased water repellency. Ideal for oiled leathers and all types of work, hiking, hunting boots and sporting equipment. Not for use on napped leathers. Darkens lighter colours. Includes sponge applicator.

Rugged back country hiking boots help.

I used this product on my hiking boots and it worked well. Hiked three days in Yukon’s Tombstone Territorial Park Grizzly Lake, Divide and Talus and it kept my boots from getting completely soaked. Encountered rain, mud and snow and my boots didn’t get soaked through. I did not use the provided foam applicator as it wasn’t rugged enough for my application. It may work well for dainty shoes. I used a stiff heavy duty brush to scrub and lather on the product to let it soak into my boots. It worked very successfully.

Bought the same in 2016... at $9.97. LOVE IT! To see the price is stabile in these times of economic inflation warms my heart! ($9.99 in 2025!) Clean and warm dry boots to room temperature before applying. (Goes on less "pasty") Let dry 24hrs. A great substitute for the "Skowheagan" that was discontinued years and years ago. (OK... I'm old.)
