    1 - 2 of 2 Questions

Q: How does this connect to mole-pipe twist-and-seal parts? Most mole-pipe parts use the twist-and-seal system. However, this pop-up drain ('Mole Pipe Pop-Up Emitter with Flexible Elbow') has a different connector. How is this drain supposed to be connected to twist-and-seal parts? What's going on here?

    • A: Thanks for answering the first question. I went and got a female adapter. I do want to note, though, that the open end of the pop-up emitter is too long for the adapter to fit properly. I intend to cut the open end back somewhat so that the adapter will fit, but it seems the emitter tube's design is flawed.

Q: In the winter what happens to the water. Does it freeze under ground? Worried about expanding and bursting.

    • A: Our Pop-up emitter is manufactured with perforated holes. When the flexible elbow is extended these holes are visible. The holes should be positioned on the outside of the elbow when installing and the emitter should be installed with clear crush stone beneath. In the event remaining water is left inside the elbow, the perforated holes allows the additional water to slowing penetrate back into the ground and not freezing during the winter season.
