Waste of money. DO NOT BUY.

Absolute junk. I get 100k+ out of Bosch brake pads, thought I'd save some money with these. Already worn out in less than 20000km.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Typical aftermarket brake pads.

Pads did not fit out of the box. When compared to factory pads they did not match. I had to grind some nubs off the steel portion of the pad. The other parts were fine and they don’t squeal.

My daughter’s car was in for new rims. The shop called and warned her about the state of her brake pads. We authorized the work and it was completed to our satisfaction. We also appreciated the heads up. Driving with poor brakes is never a good idea.

Questions

Q: Does it come as a set or just one?

  • A: Brake pads come in a set of four for either front or rear wheels. Each wheel requires 2 pads, one foe either side if the rotor.

Q: These pads have a textured nitrile rubber coating on the outer surface of the shims. The shim is bonded to the pad. Does this textured rubber coating directly touch the caliper piston or is there an additional thin metal plate to be added?

  • A: Thanks for your answers. These brake pads are for a 2004 Toyota Sienna. Most brake pad shims have a smooth metal surface that may or may not be greased where the shim touches the piston. I believe that Toyota does not put grease between the shim and the piston, only between the pad and the shim. I found no examples of internet videos showing a nitrile rubber coated shim coming in direct contact with a caliper piston. However there are some images to be found for a minority of cars showing a primary and a secondary shim placed between the pad and the piston, that being the reason that I asked my initial question about the possible need for an additional layer of metal between the nitrile rubber and the piston.

Q: Heyy, I have a 2016 q50 2.0 T , looking to purchase the pads and rotors . Will the pads come with everything the mechanic needs to install or they will have to use the old pins and stuff to put them into place

  • A: The pads come with everything needed to install them so they can function as designed. The installer will need the high temp grease where the break pads tabs slide, but likely already has that.

Q: Do these brake pads (Part #MMX924) fit a 2010 Hyundai Sonata? The website says they will, called parts and service and they were unsure. Also is it one front pad and one back pad or one pair of each?

2 Answers
  • A: Hi, thanks for your question. In order to confirm the fitment to your 2010 Hundai Sonata we would need to know whether it is the 4 cylinder model, or the V6 model. Regardless, we do have both front and rear brake pad sets available for the vehicle. As the previous poster mentioned, sets are sold as front (left and right) or rear (left and right). So in order to change the brake pads on all four corners of the vehicle you'll need to purchase one front set and one rear set. Regards,
