Great for Lithium trailer battery

Used this on a 200ah LiPo batery with great results. Only negative thing was the on board charge level indicator always showed <25% until it was done and switched to maintenance mode. Not unexpected as the battery would likely be taking everything offered until it was full. This charger seems to handle whatever battery you throw at it. FYI this only comes with built in alligator clamps.

Q: does it automatically switch from 20 amps to 4

  • A: You can select 20A for larger capacity batteries or 4A for smaller capacity batteries (or slower charging of large batteries). The 20A rate is recommended for charging batteries rated 60-400 Amp Hours while the 4A rate is recommend for charging batteries 15-80 Amp Hours. That said, the 20A or 4A is the maximum rate. The charger will only deliver as much amps as the battery can accept. So, for example, if you're charging a large battery in the 20A mode, the charger will charge at 20A for a period of time but will gradually gear down as the battery comes more full.
