    So far, I have only used this for powering some electronic audio equipment for off-grid use, which was only drawing a total of about 55 Watts for around 2 hours. The battery level showed there was about 89% remaining which was very good. I bought this as an alternative to one of the more complex and fancy portable power stations because I wanted a 120v AC,12v DC and USB A / C outlets plus the ability to jump start a vehicle or my sailboat's diesel engine in an emergency. Power stations typically don't give you that much flexibility. Plus it can be charged off grid from solar panels! perfect for my needs so hopefully it will prove to be a long lasting unit. It seems well built and very sturdy and is not very heavy to carry around.

    Works well once you turn it on

    We purchased this ahead of a planned power outage and were very disappointed when it didn't work. Then we realized that you have to, in addition to turning on the main power button, choose which plug-in sections are getting power. After the obligatory facepalm, we did so and it worked really well. We had internet and computer function (so my husband was able to do his remote work) for the full 11 hour power outage.

    I bought this a month ago in case the power ran out. Prefect timing as we actually lost power over the holidays for 8 hrs. It get some lights on, devices charged and I even plugged in my router so the WIFI could keep the everyone connected.

    Q: Can I run a 36lb thrust electric boat motor by connecting it to the car battery jumper connector that comes with the unit?

    • A: No you cannot. The jump starter output is time limited to only under 30 seconds. Moreover, the cables and electronics are not engineered for continuous high amperage output.
