Got this rod + reel this summer.Was able to catch many fish.No problem landing the big ones.Best rod+reel combo for the price.

Great quality reel is super smooth rod is very responsive, quite durable as well. before this i owned a quantum and once it god wet the bearing got messed and seized so bad the reel wouldnt turn. mitchell is way better. best rod i have ever owned.

Q: Is this rod and reel pre spooled with line?

A: Yes, with Cajun red line (Which ironically is NOT sold by Canadian tire, but is sold elsewhere in the U.S.A.). It is OK quality, stiffer than what I like but casts like a bullet. I was throwing small mepps spinners on a large river and going nearly shore-to-shore, perhaps 150 feet?
