It does the job for the price. I have a different brand for my hardwood floors but it's more than triple the price. This worked for the small scratches on my cabinets.

We have a deluxe exquisite hardwood floor, which very rarely but occasionally gets knick or chip or scratches... This Minwax pen will cover or hide or repair those situations very nicely.. I pen it in, leave it for a few minutes and then wipe off the residue and the scratch, blemish, or otherwise damage either completely disappears or is hidden so well that nobody can find it.

No matter how long I wait it always wipes off and the scratches are all visible again. It like never dry it seems. Also Red Mahogany isn't even close to color at all maybe black or dark brown.

No, I do not recommend this product.

You can remove excess with a lint free cloth as whatever doesn't penetrate will remain tacky.
