It does what it should

I bought it for my 11ft inflatable catamaran (Aircat 335). At just under 50% it pushes my Aircat to the hull speed which is around 5 km/hr. At 100% the speed increase was only about 1.5 km/hr
It leaves me with plenty of power to spare in case I have to go against the wind and waves.
I like the stepless speed control. It's very quiet. The built-in maximizer appears to be doing a good job. The 5+ kilometer trip used up less than 25% charge of my 100AH Lipo4 battery and a good part of that run was at 100% throttle.
I just wish that it were available with a shorter than 36" shaft.

Drains battery fast and vibrates

I bought this because of its description and specs that it would be more efficient than my old trolling motor, the specs say its more powerful as well. I have to run it at a higher speed setting and it drains my battery about twice as fast as my old one. It also vibrates like crazy, I even exchanged it and the new one was the same. I get about 3 hours running at 75% with a new 175AH Nautalus marine battery.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Defective handle, without it properly engaged the motor is useless.

Motor handle is defective, assembled as per instructions and the handle does not stay on. First time out and handle fell off the locking mechanism failed. Will be returning it at earliest convenience.
