Q: I had it in my room's damp closet for 4 weeks already. closet still damp and the product did not absorb a drop, why? Directions were followed correctly. Plastic lid opened, Foil wrap only was removed. Lid was put back on top as it has holes …. Placed on the floor in the closet.

    • A: Four weeks is likely too soon to notice the contents of the dehumidifier activating. The first thing you will notice is the white material beginning to clump, and then weeks later the bottom of the container will begin to fill with fluid. We have used it in a closet and a car, and it has taken approximately 6 months to fill. Lastly, it is possible your closet has too much air circulation if you frequently open the door… or leave it open, preventing the product from capturing much or any moisture.

    • A: This dehumidifier is expected to last up to 90 days in an RV. It’s longevity will vary depending on the relative humidity and the volume of air in the environment. No messy refills, as water collects in the sealed bottom tray and is disposed when finished.

Q: Will this product work at 5 degrees C? We would be using this in a cold cellar at 5C and above. Thank you!

    1 Answer
    • A: The dehumidifier will work in cooler temperatures, but its effectiveness may be reduced. The dehumidifier will not work in below-freezing temperatures. However, this dehumidifier may be a little small for a cold cellar and have a difficult time keeping up as the room is likely prone to moisture seepage – you may want to consider an electric dehumidifier.
