Protect your wood cutting board

This works quite well at preventing the cutting board from being stained as well as providing some form of being water resistant. Generally needs 2 coats 12 hours apart.

Q: Is this a one time application when used for a butcher block? Or something that would have to be reapplied on a regular basis? I'm looking for something to permanently seal an Acacia solid hardwood kitchen counter top.

A: This mineral oil should solely be used on wood products ex. Cutting boards, butcher blocks, wood utensils. It should not be used on carbon steel knives with the intent of preventing rusting.

Q: Can this be used on top of stained wood? For example if I stain a board with MinWax stain, can this oil be applied on top after the stain has dried?
