The Metabo HPT 36V Battery and Charger Starter Kit powers a range of cordless tools with its high-performance MultiVolt battery. The kit includes a 4Ah lithium-ion 36v battery and rapid power tool battery charger. Generating 8Ah of runtime, the lightweight 2.1 lb battery drives nailers, drills, saws and more. Its 21,700 power cells deliver 1440W of power for robust operation. The advanced circuitry protects against overloading, overcharging and deep discharge.

Charger is fine, like that it works with both 18v and 36v but one battery I have was not used much and is dead, it looks new!

18V Li-Ion Batteries are the grease that keeps the wheels of progress spinning. Buy a bunch of them. Lots of big batteries means lots of work getting done!

I feel stupid

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feel stupid for being excited about a charger but this one is very cool. I primarily use the 36v batteries for most things so they have a longer run time but this fast charger can fully charge one before the one I’m using runs down so there’s no waiting between swaps. I also feel stupid because I didn’t notice the USB charger until I picked up a second one. I charge my headphones, Bluetooth speaker, phone, or mobile battery pack with it nearly every day. When working at house with no power I was able to charge my phone from one of the tool batteries. It is the first thing I plug in when I start a new job.

A bit loud, but FAST

Excellent upgrade to the charger that came with my kit. Keeps battery charged up faster than I can use them. The cooling fan is a bit loud, but not a problem considering it's being used in a construction zone anyway.
