It Works!!

I recently bought a black car and the paint was severely oxidized and faded. This kit was recommended by a friend and to be honest I was skeptical at first just because of the condition of the paint. I attached the pad (included) to my drill and went to work and about an hour later I was astonished at the results! It's back to a shiny black instead of a matte, this stuff really works as advertised!

Q: Would this product fix a minor "paint run?"

2 Answers

A: The DA Power System would not have the proper “cutting” action to level a paint run. Typical methods include scraping gently with a razor blade (not cutting) and/or sanding with P1000 and finer abrasives to properly level the run. Much care is required to just sand the run out and not thin the adjacent paint. Once the sand scratch is around the 5000 grit mark, the DA Power System’s compound and pad will begin to refine the scratches to return the gloss to the paint. If the paint is a darker colour, the Meguiar’s Ultimate Polish may be required.

Q: Is there enough compound to do a whole car? I noticed the bottle is much smaller then the regular bottle sold separately (450 ml).

Q: How do i wash? After using these pads for compounding my car, how do i clean them.. can i put them in a regular HE washing machine... or do i just rub them over with a cloth
