Medela Solo™ Single Electric Breast Pump

I I love the practicality of this pump and the design is so ergonomic and easy to use. I love how quiet the pump is and the fact that it was rechargeable and wireless made pumping so much easier. My only issue was that I didn’t get the same volume of milk that I was getting with my older (louder, clunkier) pump. Overall, I think it makes for a great supplemental pump- especially if you prefer a double pump as your primary.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked that this pump is battery operated and I wasn’t restricted to being in one spot while pumping. I’ve used a Medela plug in pump before and after receiving the Medela SOLO as a trial through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, I found the battery operated one far more convenient. The pump was discrete enough that I even managed to use it while driving in rush hour traffic and no one was the wiser!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a year+ of pumping and washing pump parts, the Medela SOLO is a breath of fresh air. It is like slipping on a spring coat after putting away your parka. It is so easy to clean, with just one set of parts. I also love how few pieces there are compared to my full-size pump and love the new format for the breast shields (so comfy) and the larger valve. It is much more comfortable than my old pump-in-style, and because it is rechargeable, you can use it wherever you want. I usually use it during our getting ready for school routine in the morning and while cleaning the kitchen after dinner. I thought it was pretty efficient at pumping milk. I did feel that it was not as powerful as my full-size pump; however, it makes up for that in ease of use. Also, because I only pump one breast at a time, I don't need to use my nursing bra. I kind of tuck it into whatever bra I’m using. Overall, I am glad I have it, and I find myself reaching for it more and more often. I think this pump is convenient as a backup pump when on the go but not as the main pump. The pump is easy to use and clean but I would like a little more power than what the solo offers. I really like that it's rechargeable and compact so I could take it with me on the go without the bulk of a full sized pump. Great if you need something to pump on the fly and small/light enough to put in a purse

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this pump! It’s compact, quiet, and efficient. I have a double pump as well but this little pump is the best companion. It’s small enough that I can throw it in my diaper bag when I need to pump on the go and I find I choose it over my double pump at home as well because it is more convenient. Its simple to use, easy to clean, and I love that has a rechargeable battery so I can pump anywhere. Highly recommend!! Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me this product to review.
