Great Sale price for Quality Product.

Bought on sale. Solid sturdy. Easy set up. The extensions were terrific to enable one person to cut longer length pieces. Only negative is I have a Craftsman mitre slide saw and the mounting base did not completely fit with the stand mounts. Rear two mounting holes fit but front saw mounting holes were nearer centre not parallel. I made ip a 1/2” plywood base securing it to the full stand then secured my saw front to the plywood. Solid mounting. I checked at Rona but their Craftsman Mitre Saw Stand was the same as this one. So even a Craftsman stand wouldn’t have worked our any better. It was more than the sale price for this one. 5 stars based on sale price, solid built, sturdy work base.

Good But I Wish It Was More Mobile

It is great as a stand but I I give it 4 stars cuz I wish it was more mobile, like with some kind of retractable wheels. I got it for the Mastercraft dual bevel sliding mitre saw #055-6932-6, and it fits well. This stand is probably best for those who have a permanent place for the stand and saw. Otherwise it is heavy and awkward to move around, and to slide it over concrete (which is what I need to do), the plastic feet wear down. And because the saw is bolted to the stand, it is inconvenient to take off each time I want to move it. So I built a small dolly out of a scrap 1x6 deck board and some small plastic caster wheels I had lying around, which does the trick when I need to move it!

Q: Will model 055-6745-2 dual bevel sliding mitre saw with laser line from Canadian Tire fit on this stand?

  • A: I have a Maximum sliding compound miter saw with bizarre mounting holes - a smaller hole and a larger one in each corner. This stand assumes the mounting holes are in a rectangular arrangement because the slots in the mounting bracket are 90 degrees to the frame stand. Not only are the holes in my saw not lined up 90 degrees to the saw, but the small and large holes do not match up (smaller holes are the outer ones in the back, but the larger holes are the outer ones in the front). What should have taken less than 15 minutes to setup took over 2 frustrating hours, and I had to get my own smaller bolts and rely on the intentional slop to get the mounting brackets to clamp on 90 degrees to the frame. So, just because it says “Mastercraft” doesn’t mean it works well.

  • A: I bought this product for my son (considerably cheaper stand than most) so I have asked him. He states: It has bolts with sliding grooves that clamp down. He mounted his Dewalt mitre saw on this stand with no problem.

Q: Can I purchase the mounting brackets to replace the pair that are still attached to my saw? Some miscreant decided that they should break into a shed and " borrow " it. They left the stand.

  • A: A similar occurrence happened to me and i called C.T. Direct and at the time they said no not available sorry! So i waited for it to go on sale and bought a new stand, however, I was in a local store awile back and saw the mounts in the tool section for sale but forget how much,so maybe just try your local store
