Product Details

Effectively manage well water with the Mastercraft 1/2-HP Dual Voltage Cast Iron Convertible Jet Pump. Designed for permanent installation, this convertible jet pump is ideal for supplying fresh water to rural homes, farms and cottages that have wells down to 90’ (27.4m). Powered by a 1/2 HP motor, this water jet pump has a maximum flow rate of 310 GPH (1,173 L/h). Built-in thermal overload protection prevents the motor from overheating by switching off the jet pump before damage is caused. This pump has dual-voltage power of 115V or 230V (7.2 or 3.6A). This shallow well jet pump easily converts to a deep well jet pump by removing the bolt ejector for conversion. Cast-iron construction offers lasting durability, corrosion resistance and greater heat dissipation. The pre-set pressure switch has an automatic shut-off feature which turns on the jet pump at 30 PSI and turns it off at 50 PSI. The pressure gauge allows for easy pressure monitoring. A foot valve, PVC elbows, PVC pipes, male PVC adaptors, female PVC adaptors and well seals (sold separately) may be needed in order to install this pump.

Replaced the previous pump with this one, same voltages, same hp. It is a heck of a lot lighter, the motor is tiny compared to the last one, the pump case is lighter, and the plugs are a flat style, with an 'O' ring to seal. Literally everything on it is flimsy compared to the one I pulled out. Instructions were a little unclear when assembling the intake components, but it functioned, built up pressure, and shut off when it should. The old one may be salvageable, I'm thinking seal, I don't have faith the new one will last like the old one did.

A: I took it back and exchanged it for the last one they had and they opened it and voila, there was a venturi included..the one i bought without one also was missing the plastic plugs in all the open holes , i was wondering about that. So obviously someone bought it and took what they needed and returned it to where ever they lived..i ordered the pump online so who kniws where that happened...thank you ..Cheers RL
