A: I don't know if you have received an answer to your question. I just stumbled upon it today. This item is plastic; I purchased one at the beginning of winter. It is inexpensive, but in my opinion wasn't worth buying. It depends what kind of heaters you have too. It's only good if you have a furnace that blows heat, so you have those metal registers that are flush with the floor. If you have baseboard heaters, it will not stay on. If you have the funds to spend, better to opt for the MaxxDryXL Forced Air Footwear and Glove Dryer. When it comes on sale, it's a good buy. I got one and I cannot live without it. Hope this helps.
