Great shovel!

The forward grip feels great and is well placed, and the forward turned steps let me put my weight on it comfortably when moving gravel. The finish on the head won't last long with this type of use, but that's not much of a concern for me. It's now my go-to D-handle shovel, and has a place on my roof rack for off road recovery use.

This thing is a tank. This is a shovel that can hold up to heavy abuse and continue to perform. I used this shovel to turn over some soil, dig a hole, and pull soil from a wheel barrow. The padded portion of the handle helped to keep a solid grip on the shovel. While the forward turned steps where large enough that my foot felt comfortable and didn't slip off.

I really liked this shovel better than others I have here at home. It is sturdy and cuts into the earth easily with little pressure. It is light weight for me to carry around as we live on an acreage. I also like the short handle as the length doesn't get in the way when you are working in the trees or bush.
