Not what I expected.

When I got this set home and looked at it, I was very surprised. These tools are gorgeous ! A seemingly perfect blend of form and function. The gears are tight, no slop or wobble whatsoever. The bad reviewer should get an exchange, because my directional shifter is crisp, and stays put. The sockets are definitely beefier, as stated, they ARE impact grade sockets. The ratchet, extension and sockets fit very well together and have the feel of very high end precision made equipment. This set almost looks like jewelry, and very well made. I can't wait to get the 1/4" and 1/2" sets.

I purchased this socket set on sale for roughly $35, It works amazing! I love it and it is very well made and even comparable to some of my Snap-On tools. When i first got it, the ratchet mechanism was some what loud, A little light weight oil took care of that perfectly. I like the soft grip handle it feels nice in the hands and really grips well! Overall i feel this product is a 4 out of 5 stars for the fact that it did not include a 14mm sized socket, But a 9/16 will do.

Warning - Looks good but is aggravating junk

Nice looking set but even on sale is junk you will curse. Ratchet jumps into opposite direction when in use and is worse when working overhead. Also sockets are near impossible to get off holders without breaking it, and if oiled hands you'll need pliers nearby.
I really wish someone would actually test/try to use these tools for awhile before they sell them, for I am seeing this all to often in Mastercraft tools these days.

Q: Are the hex sockets going to be available in 1/2 and 1/4" too ? I just love the 3/8" hex set I just bought. I would love to see them in 1/4" and 1/2" too. Even as a whole tool set. Also in impact grade. Beautiful set...

A: We currently don’t carry Hex sets ½” or ¼” Dr sizes. You can find some of these sizes in our sockets sets.We appreciate the feedback and will pass along to the proper merchandising team.

Q: I have one of these ratchet sets, And i noticed that they do not sell the ratchet individually. What happens if my ratchet breaks? I really like this ratchet, And if i broke id be devistated because i noticed they only sell them in these 20 piece sets what would happen if my ratchet broke?
