BEST GAUGE/INFLATOR I HAVE EVER USED/OWNED
8 years ago
BEST GAUGE/INFLATOR I HAVE EVER USED/OWNED. I bought this 20 months ago and have never had any problems; I think it still has the original batteries in it. I have used it on my cars, trucks, my son's car and truck, and my friends' vehicles. And I like the longer nozzle.
Yes, I recommend this product.

Big disappointment again and again!
When I read about it in the review "Big disapointment! " I thought this is too crazy to be true. I bought 2 because I thought if 1 is misbehaving the second one will not. Both misbehaved and I wasted my time in a bad weather for just confirming the review from "Big disappointment!"
No, I do not recommend this product.

Pistolet de gonflage numérique
Très bon achat pour ce pistolet de gonflage numérique il permet de gonfler, dégonfler et vérifier la pression sans trop d'effort. Je m'en sert à chaque semaine.
The good news is that my example of this gauge was extremely accurate. I had the chance to compare it against a calibrated, American made Milton gauge and the two devices were consistently within .5lbs of each other. That's why it gets 4 stars. However, there are annoying oddities that keep it from getting full marks. On mine, the backlight stays on for exactly 28 seconds when the unit is powered up and then goes off (the gauge itself stays on but the light doesn't). The only way to get the light back is to turn off the unit and then turn it back on...and then the light will again go out after 28 seconds. I don't know if they are all like this but, if you are using this in low light, either bring a flashlight or get the job done in less than 28 seconds. My other complaint is the cartoon-like chuck that is a comical 14 inches long. That might be usable if you are inflating dual tires on an 18 wheeler (in less than 28 seconds) but for 99.9% of real world users it's unwieldy an awkward. So I will recommend this (if bought on sale) for the very accurate gauge and easily accessed AAA batteries. The wonky backlight and hilariously oversized chuck cost this a star.

Q: Is there a way to re-calibrate the gauge? It worked fine until the batteries died. Now with new batteries in it seems to be about 15psi high.

A: To reset the MAXIMUM Digital Inflation Gun, you will need to disconnect the inflator from the air supply and then relieve the pressure with the bleeder button. Then remove the batteries for 30 seconds then put them back in again, which will clear the memory. The gauge needs to have no pressure within when it comes time to replace the batteries. When batteries are replaced on the unit, the gauge automatically sets itself to zero regardless of whatever pressure is still in the unit.

Q: Quel est la plage de lecture? 0-50 psi? 0-100 psi?
