Cannot handle much weight, light loads only

I purchased this box a couple years ago to carry some tools and tow strap/recovery straps etc. I added a piece of 1/2" plywood to the bottom to keep it from bending. It's now starting to crack where it rests on the truck like the bottom is separating from the top. It's pretty light-weight material and it can't handle very much weight. I'm afraid I'm going to have to replace it now with something stronger. This is the second time I've had to replace it for the same reason. I do like the locking mechanism though. That's about it... It fit fine in my GMC 2500HD. Plenty of room in the box of the truck for it. The dimensions and partitions work fine but the walls are kind of flimsy. It bends pretty easily. I stored some tools, straps, bottle jack, and a couple hammers. Not a lot, I wouldn't say it was overloaded. I wouldn't buy it again.

Generally good, nuts which hold the unit in place tend to loosen, and installation of foam tape necessary to prevent rattling.

Seems like good quality. Had big dent in corner of lid when I took it out of the packaging. But doesn't affect use so never brought it back.

I am completely satisfied with my purchase of the the Maximum truck tool box. I really like the opening latches at each end compared to others where you have to reach to the front I like the little storages at each end of the tool box and the sliding tray on top. The black powder coating matches my truck.
