Tape seems fragile

I've used the tape measure maybe a half dozen times and noticed some minor abrasion starting on the tape. It leaves me concerned about the longevity of the item. I guess time will tell.

Light weight and appears to be well made. I’ve been using it for a month without issue. I’m getting used to the white colour of the tape/blade all my other tapes have been yellow
