Locking ball failed on first use

Nice to have 3 sizes However, using my 20V Dewalt impact driver (this is not a high powered impact gun), the locking ball mechanism on the 1/2" driver fell out after swapping out the winter tires on 1 the first car. I took the socket off to put on my torque wrench and watched the locking ball fall to the ground and disappear under a cabinet. I did my next car with the 3/8" driver with a 1/2" adapter. I think it will leave these two together, as I'm not confident that all of these drivers locking balls have any measure of durability to them. This is labelled as impact Black tools are impact tools Failing on the first tire change is unacceptable
