Product Details

The MAXIMUM ½” Socket Adaptor, Hex Head #2, is 2” (5 cm) long and can quickly drive screws, nuts, bolts, and other fasteners that feature a hex head design. This multi-purpose adaptor features a ¼” hex shank, and allows you to adapt ½” sockets, nut drivers, and other accessories you need to a useable size for the project at hand. The MAXIMUM socket adaptor features a unique torsion zone design that allows it to absorb more torque and reduce the occurrence of bit fracturing, as well as other forms of damage that result from high levels of torque. The adaptor itself is constructed from long-lasting chrome-vanadium steel, extending its overall tool life beyond that of a similar equivalent.

Broke trying to torque a bike cassette to 40 nM. I guess that's not what this is meant for, but I was surprised that it broke. I was happy that it wasn't something important or expensive that broke. It's impact rated, so I kind of assumed it would suffer a bit more abuse.

No, I do not recommend this product.
