I recently bought this box (top and bottom) I have had 0 issues with the bottom box works great the top drawer is loaded with tons of impact sockets and still rolls nice. The top box I had issues with the locking mechanism it would lock the lid but none of the drawers. I took it back to my local CT they gave me a bit of a hassle but ended up giving me a new box.

like anything else made fast and not put together verry well..bought both top and botom pieces on sale top box 3 drawrs do not lock with handle slided are out of adjustment and when I unboxed item could not open trays box was locked and would not open..had to pull carying handle out and get a long screw driver and jimmy lock mecanisms to unload all drawrs...botom section trays also dont close propery and have to fight with item to open and close..mabee I just bought a dud...for maximum disapointed..and 5 year garenty verry disapointed..
No, I do not recommend this product.

Big Canadian Tool Box

This box is made in Canada and is big, but perfect for all my wrench sets, socket sets, drivers and odds and ends. The drawers required some adjustment, (ensure those loading your cabinet do not lay it face down at close to 200 lbs plus its not a easy load and unload to return). Drawers operate smoothly and drawer liners are included. The aluminum corner protectors accent the drawer handles. The unit is solid, if you look closely you can see the Canadian made differences. This is a great purchase when on sale with the matching top chest. I have recommended this to others already.

Q: I have a 058-1396 and was looking for a 058-1397 which is discontinued. The 058-1371 metal seems slimmer than the 058-1396 and with less features e.g. no soft close drawers. What gauge is the 058-1397 and why the downgrade to 058-1371?

You indicated 0581397 for both in your response above. Also any insight in to when in 2023 the updated 57" will be hitting stores and what are the updated features, if you are able to share?
